Parks Company Offers Free Holidays To Christmas Farepak FamiliesTHE Lake District’s largest holiday parks operator has today announced it will offer thousands of pounds worth of free summer holidays to Farepak families as a Christmas goodwill gesture. South Lakeland Parks, whose headquarters are based at Natland, near Kendal, is offering a total of nine free summer holidays across its exclusive portfolio of nine parks throughout the Lake District, Morecambe Bay and Lancashire. The week-long holidays in a luxury home for a family of up to six, can be taken between the dates of May 12th and June 23rd 2007. Families will be able to stay at holiday complexes including the five-star White Cross Bay on the banks of Lake Windermere, and the four-star Regent at Morecambe Bay. South Lakeland Parks offers luxury caravan holiday homes and pine lodges for sale or hire at lakeside, coastal and woodland locations where people can also camp and tour. Ian Gaskell, Commercial Director of South Lakeland Parks, said the company was keen to offer some festive cheer in December to those families hardest hit by the collapse of the Christmas savings club in October. Mr Gaskell said: “South Lakeland Parks prides itself on looking after its visitors, and like many people we have been saddened by what has happened to those Farepak customers who have saved loyally all year.” “We believe that a free summer holiday in 2007 at one of our quality parks in the Lake District, Morecambe Bay or Lancashire, might just be the perfect Christmas surprise. They can stay at any of our sites – be it coastal, woodland or lakeside.” The holidays would usually range between £180 to £500 per week but the company is giving them away free to those families who can demonstrate they need a break after the Farepak ordeal. Those wanting to enter the chance to win a holiday should write to the news desk with their Farepak story and contact details. Newsdesks will kindly choose a winner from the entries by midday on Wednesday December 20th. News editors are then requested to contact South Lakeland Parks on the number below with the lucky winners’ details so that the winners can be contacted in time for Christmas. All winners must agree to publicity. The five parks offering holiday accommodation from which the winners can choose from are White Cross Bay, Windermere; Fallbarrow, Bowness-on-Windermere; Limefitt, Windermere; Regent, Morecambe and Ocean Edge, Heysham. The holidays cannot be exchanged for cash and the winners will be contacted in time for Christmas.
